Perform the National Anthem

Before the puck drops at each Twin City Thunderbirds home game, we are proud to honor our country with a performance of The Star-Spangled Banner.

The Twin City Thunderbirds are seeking talented vocalists, instrumentalists, and performance groups to perform the National Anthem during the 2026-2027 season at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena. Whether you are a solo vocalist, part of a duet, choir, school group, band, or instrumental ensemble, this is your opportunity to take center ice and help set the stage for Thunderbirds hockey.

Interested performers should complete the form below and include a link to a recent video featuring a full performance of the National Anthem. A simple phone recording is acceptable, provided the performer can be seen and heard clearly.

• Vocal auditions should be performed a cappella. Instrumental performers may use the instrument or instruments that would be included in their live performance.
• Performances should use a respectful, traditional-style arrangement and last no longer than 90 seconds.
• Audition links may be submitted through YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or a similar service.
• Links must be public or set so that anyone with the link can view the recording without requesting access.
• A parent, legal guardian, or adult group representative must submit the form on behalf of any performer under 18 years old.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Thunderbirds. Submission of the interest form does not guarantee selection or assignment to a particular game. Selected performers will be contacted based on schedule availability and game-night needs. Complete arrival and performance instructions will be provided after a date has been confirmed.
