Twin City completes trade with Stockton

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Twin City Thunderbirds have traded forward Jordyn Mughal and defenseman Trystan Mughal to the Stockton Thunder in exchange for financial considerations.
Jordyn Mughal, 24, Forward, of Mississauga, Ontario, appeared in two games for the Thunderbirds during the 2025-2026 season after joining Twin City following the completion of his collegiate career at SUNY Canton (NCAA III, Canton, N.Y.). The 6’3”, 201-pound left-handed forward played four seasons for the Roos from 2022-2026, appearing in eighty-five collegiate games and recording four goals, five assists, nine points, and thirty-five penalty minutes. Mughal appeared in twenty-two games during his senior season and scored two goals after recording two goals and two assists in twenty-four appearances during his junior campaign. Prior to his collegiate career, Mughal played for the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL, Georgetown, Ontario), Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL, Trenton, Ontario), P.A.L. Junior Islanders (NCDC, Syosset, N.Y.), and Hearst Lumberjacks (NOJHL, Hearst, Ontario). He recorded nine goals and fifteen assists for twenty-four points in fifty-nine regular-season games with Hearst from 2019-2021 before continuing his junior career in the NCDC and OJHL. Mughal appeared in forty-five OJHL regular-season games during the 2021-2022 season between Trenton and Georgetown, recording four goals and ten assists for fourteen points. He made his professional debut with Twin City during the 2025-2026 season.

Mughal recorded his first collegiate point during his freshman season and scored his first NCAA goal later that year. Prior to his collegiate career, Mughal played for the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL, Georgetown, Ontario), Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL, Trenton, Ontario), and Hearst Lumberjacks (NOJHL, Hearst, Ontario). He recorded twelve goals and fifteen assists for twenty-seven points in sixty-one regular-season games with Hearst from 2019-2021 before spending the 2021-2022 season in the OJHL with Trenton and Georgetown. Mughal made his professional debut with Twin City during the 2025-2026 season.
